Meghan was in a tragic accident on August 7, 2009 that took her life. Meghan has left behind her
mother, three sisters, a brother, a step brother, and hundreds of close friends. She is predeceased
by her father.

Newspaper Clipping:

OSTEEN - A scenic road through Volusia County with a history of horrific crashes claimed two more
lives Friday morning.

Two vehicles collided head-on and burst into flames along a long, straight stretch of State Road 415
a few miles north of Osteen, killing both drivers, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The crash occurred just south of Ashby Cove Road about 6:20 a.m. and closed the highway for about
four hours.

The drivers, thought to be a 23-year-old Osteen woman and a 28-year-old woman from DeBary, were the
only occupants. Both women were burned beyond recognition, and dental records will be needed for
positive identification.

Until the identities are confirmed, the names will not be released, although the families of the two
women have been notified.

Troopers have released little information about the crash. The DeBary woman was driving a 2000
Lincoln LS and the Osteen woman was driving a 1996 Chevrolet sport utility vehicle. Troopers have
not said what caused the crash.

Meghan:
Success of ones life is not measured by wealth and popularity but is measured by how many lives we
ourselves have touched. If I were to die today and know that I was able to touch even one persons
life the way that Meghan has, I would have lived a successful life. Meghan lived a happy life full
of love and laughter even if only for 23 short years. She touched more lives in her 23 years than
most people have touched in a lifetime. Thank you Meghan for being in our lives, for making us
better beings. You were our earthly angel and now have the wings to prove it.

To laugh often and love much; to win the respect of intellingent persons and the affection of
children; to earn the approbation of honest citizens and endure the betrayal of false friends; to
appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to give of one's self; to leave the world a bit
better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to have played
and laughed with enthusiasm and sung with exultation; to know even one life has breathed easier
because you have lived - this is to have succeeded. - Emerson

I believe that hope survives, love prevails, tears cleanse, memories comfort, faith soothes, good
thoughts reassure, and that our belief in a better place calms the heart.

From our hearts to yours my dear Meghan with all of our love...may you rest in peace.

*To Our Friend We Call Sister*

At first I wasn't going to write a eulogy because most of the things I have to say about Meghan may be to inappropriate for some people, but I decided to write it anyways because I know Meghan would have wanted me too.

I met Meghan through my brother James. She started dating my brother when she was fifteen. Through out the five years that they were together, our family grew to love Meghan. We grew to love her like a sister, an aunt, a niece, and a daughter. She touched our lives with her enthusiastic personality and her wisdom to help others. Even though Meghan and James separated, Meghan remained a part of our family.

My family has many stories to tell about Meghan, but I just want to start off with the love my father and Meghan shared.

~To Our Friend, We Call Sister~

Meghan's love for my dad was that of a father and daughter. They joked around and had some very interesting topics to talk about. Meghan hooked my father and his girlfriend, Terry up. My father loved Meghan and Meghan loved him. Meghan's sense of humor always cheered my father up on a bad day.

Meghan came into my children's lives when my son was one month old and my daughter was a year old. They are now almost nine and ten. Over the period of years, my kids became very close to Meghan and Meghan became close to them as well. They know of her as Aunt Meghan.

As we all know, Meghan had an extremely hilarious side to her as well. If she's in your presence, you were guaranteed to laugh, whether you knew her not. I have had several funny moments with her, but the funniest one was when we had a fart machine. We would go to the mall or somewhere in public and she would clip the fart machine to her pants and I would have the remote. I would be on one side of the store and she would be on the other and as soon as she would get near someone I would press the remote and out would come this very loud fart sound. Some people would be in such shock, they would start cussing at us for it and others would be in such shock they would just give us dirty looks. Meghan and I would roll around laughing until we couldn't breath. We had so much fun with that thing, she would say "Julie do it again, do it again!" That was one of many funny times with Meghan.

One night when I had to go to the hospital to have stitches, Meghan came with me and sat there for hours comforting me. If anything at all was wrong, Meghan would be the first to give you comfort and make you laugh.

Meghan talked about her younger sisters, Caroline and Emily, like they were in a spotlight. Her sisters made her laugh and for that she loved them with all her heart. She loved her brother, Brian and would be mad as heck if someone messed with him. Her mother and older sister Allison, were her strength to do better. She loved her father as well and when he passed away, her heart was broken into a hundred pieces. I find some peace in knowing that she has her father and my brother Christopher with her in heaven.

What I am going to miss the most about Meghan is her running up to me and humping my leg in front of everyone; and walking into public like she had down syndrome, holding her two fingers up next to her head saying "HeeeEY, you guys wait for me"; and prank calling me in the middle of the night asking me if I wanted to buy moon pies; and our spontaneous road trips to Maine; and calling me laughing her butt off about something funny that had happend; and our deep conversations about love and life. Until we meet again. R.I.P Meghan.
